UPDATE:  April 28, 2020

Dear Residents and Park District Patrons:

Per the latest directive from Gov. Pritzker, the Westchester Park District will be observing the “Stay at Home” order and will be closed through May 30, 2020.  All Park District facilities, playgrounds, outdoor exercise equipment and permitted field usage will be closed/cancelled.  Our parks (including Norfolk Dog Park) and trails will remain open.  Please observe social distancing while using the parks.

We will not have anyone in the buildings to answer phone calls.  Supervisory staff will have access to their emails.  We will not be able to look anything up nor will we be able to process any refunds.

We will be extending the Early Bird Pool Pass sale by two (2) weeks once we are cleared to open.  As always, you can register for any program online at www.wpdparks.org.

If you or a family member are registered for a current program, a supervisor will be in contact with you in the near future regarding program make-ups, prorated fees and/or refunds.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to address the COVID-19 issues.

As a Reminder……

The Illinois Department of Public Health encourages you to follow common sense strategies for preventing the spread of communicable diseases including:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.  If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

Sincerely,

Westchester Park District
