Addison Creek Improvement Spring 2025 Update

The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) is constructing the Addison Creek Channel Improvements Project (Project).This critical stormwater Project will help to alleviate overbank flooding along Addison Creek from Northlake to Broadview.

As you are aware, the MWRD is making channel improvements on portions of Addison Creek adjacent to the Westchester Park District property pursuant to easements acquired by the MWRD. As an update on the Project schedule, construction is anticipated to be completed in this reach of the Project by August 2025.
