Phase 4 begins - Playgrounds open

Fri June 26, 2020

UPDATE:  June 26, 2020

Dear Residents and Park District Patrons:

Starting today, we begin our journey into Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan.  We will remain in this Phase until there is a vaccine or a cure for COVID-19.  We feel there will be a few modifications to the guidelines within Phase 4 and will continue to keep you updated as they change.

Starting today, playgrounds will be open for public use.  Playgrounds will be receiving a one-time sanitization treatment beginning June 26th in the following order:

Drury Lane
High Ridge
Sweet Briar

After this one-time sanitization treatment, the Park District will not be sanitizing the playgrounds, and ask that everyone follow a few simple guidelines:

  1. Maintain six (6) feet of distance from others.
  2. Maximum capacity on a playground is 50 people.
  3. Wear face covering if social distancing is not possible.
  4. Wash hands or use hand sanitizer before and after visiting the playgrounds (not provided by park district).

For additional information regarding the Phase 4 Guidelines in the Restore Illinois Plan please go to:

Building facilities will reopen on Monday June 29th. Another notice will be posted Sunday June 28th with further information.

Thank you for your patience as we work to re-open the Park District.
