UPDATE:  June 28, 2020

Dear Residents and Park District Patrons:

Starting today, we begin our journey into Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan.  We will remain in this Phase until there is a vaccine or a cure for COVID-19.  We feel there will be a few modifications to the guidelines within Phase 4 and will continue to keep you updated as they change.

On Monday June 29, 2020, both the Community Center and the Mayfair Recreation Center will be open, some with modified hours (please visit our website or call for hours of operation).  Also in this Phase we will start offering programming indoors, while following the guidelines provided by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.

We will be sanitizing all frequently touched surfaces within the Community Center and Mayfair Recreation Center on an hourly basis.  We ask that all patrons wear a mask and practice social distancing when entering these facilities.

Playgrounds will be open for public use.  We will not be sanitizing the playgrounds and ask that everyone follow a few simple guidelines:

  1. Maintain six (6) feet of distance from others.
  2. Maximum capacity on a playground is 50 people.
  3. Wear face covering if social distancing is not possible.
  4. Wash hands or use hand sanitizer before and after visiting the playgrounds (not provided by park district).

Thank you for your patience as we work to re-open the Park District.

Sincerely,

Westchester Park District
